When it comes to love, I'm a cynic, I'll be the first one to admit it. I don't really believe in the institution of marriage, I'm not sure you can love someone for the rest of your life, I think there is no such thing as sole mates and you can get one grand love story in a lifetime, if you are really really lucky. So when I go and watch many romantic movies and i ended up either bittered of bored out of my mind. I find them corny, predictable and the love stories too easy. (As if in real life, love was just that easy, perfect stranger comes along and sweeps you off your feet).

And as i Walked into 27 dresses I was already predisposed to believe this was just another bubblegum movie(one you chew, but the taste runs out fast and you just toss out the window). And the 20 first minutes pass by, and then Jane's sister, Tess walks into town and Jane (Katherine Heigl) invites her to a party when the sister falls for Jane's boss who happens to be her secret crush, and Katherine Heigl starts to seem endearing (and i don't really care for her). And Kevin, played by James Marsden, is just the right amount of cynic and obnoxious for you to love him but not to think he is perfect.

You Can't hate Tess for hooking up with Jane's Boss, she doesn't know Jane loves him, but you certainly hate her for never wearing a decent length skirt and lying to a guy that's pretty much perfect. You fall in love with the flaws of this people. We all have been in love with someone who won't look at us in THAT way, and we have all fallen for someone you never thought you would love. Watching Kevin and Jane fall in love is the loveliest thing: they get hammered, they sing karaoke, they have sex in the back of her father's Volvo, he kinda deceives her and she gets pissed. But along the way they teach each other about love, in all forms, and that when you really love you need to take a leap of faith, that sometimes, can be really embarrassing.
